Details of iXtreme 1.6 Firmware

Team HyperX Presents IXtreme 1.6 firmware for Benq, Samsung and Liteon drives
——————————————————————————

IXtreme fw for Benq, Samsung and Liteon drives!

Features
——–

-Strict Wave 3 compliance! hybrid (modified disks) will not boot!

-Strict drive speed compliance – 12x only for game discs!

-Support for SS V2!

-Integrated 0800 for game dumping including SS v2!

-Full support for all known game exceptions! eg ddr etc!

-One shot boot mode! – allows a one off boot of gamedisc without -stealth/partition checks (will still use stealth), use activate.iso disk to activate each time!

-Support for easy drive key/version info cmd, same as liteon!

-Strict stealth/wave checking, one shot boot mode will boot wave(x)!

More Info
———

Strict Wave 3 compliance means wave 3 games will only boot if they have correct PFI/DMI/SS and timestamp for wave 3

Strict drive speed compliance means games will only boot if drive is set for the initial speed of 12x, any modification of this make games fail to boot

SS v2 suports multiple timing samples for challenges type 5 and 7 , stroing them in the SS. This is a pre-requiste for SS v3 which has support for the so called AP2.5 check. Since this has never been used or may never be used by MS we will adopt a wait and see approach and continue to monitor for its usage.

With drive in Windows mode (Tray half open on powerup) 0800 mode is activated allowing easy dumping of game disc including SS v2. In this mode the drive is also able to output drive key, fw version and drive type by using a simple custom inquiry command.

Game exceptions are integrated in the fw for games that do not comply with the strict wave checks but are legitimate. These are Dance Dance Revolution Universe, Stoked, Ping 17 disk, afro samurai

One shot boot mode allows you to boot a Wave X or non stealth game by using the activate.iso disk as a flag. Just insert the activate disc and the next disc inserted will boot without any strict checks. This will still utilise full stealth if available. As soon as that disc is booted the flag is cleared, and you will have to re-insert the activate disk again to enable one shot boot. As always use with caution.

ABGX 1.0 Tutorial

I’ve been seeing a lot of talk lately from individuals wanting to know how to properly verify that your Xbox 360 Backups are Stealth Patched and Verified. It’s a pretty easy process, that involves the use of ABGX 1.0, a program that can make Stealth games from a ISO dump, and can also be used to verify that your backups are 100% Stealth.

The first thing you need to do is download ABGX 1.0 for your current platform – Download them here. This is also the latest version, which supports iXtreme Firmware 1.51 with Wave3 support.

Now, install it and let’s get started.

Next you need to have a Xbox 360 Backup already downloaded, you can always find them for download from a Pirate in the bay.

ABGX home screenThis is how it should look on a PC when you first open the program. What we’re going to do next, is create two settings for use. One of them will be just to verify a ISO image, and the next, is only to be used, if the game does not come back Stealth Verified.

ABGX Level 3 Auto FixThe first thing you need to do, is click on the AutoFix tab, and select Level 3 (Autofix is stealth passes but fails verification).

Once you have done that, go to the top left of the program, click on File -> Save Settings. Name is anything you want, I named it “FixingISO”.

So now we have two settings, a Default, which should be used on all backups you get, and a Second one, to patch them if you run into issues.

Now were going to load a iso image. And if you’re wondering, if the .dvd file is incorrect, both settings will automatically create a new one, that you can use IMG burn with.

ABGX Folder Icon to load ISOGo ahead and click on the folder, to select your iso image.

Okay, the next step once you have loaded the file, is to click on the Launch button on the bottom of the program. Let this cycle through all the way. If for some reason you get an error, this is when you want to load the custom settings you created earlier. So for this first pass, let’s just keep it on the default settings.

ABGX running

You should see a screen similar to this. Let it run all the way through. Typically, if the stealth passes, once it gets to checking the Game CRC, i just hit Q to quit the process. But in your case, let it go all the way through.

ABGX Failed Verification

As you can see from the image above, this Backup failed verification, there was no verified rip of the Xex/SS in the online database. This is when you’ll click on load settings, or just click on Autofix level 3. Then, just re-run the program, and it will automatically download and update your Backup ISO. Other types of failures are you might get are error’s in the SS, DMI, or PFI, thus it will automatically quit.

And that’s pretty much it. The only step you have to do next is burn it with IMG Burn, which can be found here. Also, make sure you’re using good quality media, such as Verbatims 2.4x DL, those are the only Dual Layer Disc that I recommend for burning Xbox 360 backups.

Enjoy!

ABGX 1.0 has just been updated to support the new games that contain a 3rd wave in the video partition for the Xbox 360 Stealth firmware.. ABGX now supports the new iXtreme 1.51 and the soon to be 1.6 iXtreme firmware. Microsoft added the Fall 2008 Xbox 360 Console update, which by default, all iXtreme firmware including 1.5 and lower will reject to play. Anyways, download your flavor of ABGX 1.0 below.

If you need help on how to properly verify and auto correct stealth backups, visit http://www.ixtreme.net, I’ll be adding tutorials on how to do that.

iXtreme 1.51 Firmware has just been released for the Xbox 360. This releases fixes all new games that contain the 3rd wave in the video partition, which is due to Microsoft adding the Fall 2008 NXE Console update to the disc. The prior iXtreme firmware will not boot disc containing a 3rd wave, due to the firmware checking the crc of the video partition, looking for ‘wave1′ and ‘wave2′ only, now that there is a ‘wave3′ in the partition, the firmware rejects the disk.

Now, all newer games such as MLB 2K9 and Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X will boot without issues if running the latest version of ixtreme 1.51. For all you previous Xbox 360 flashers out there, updating your firmware should be no problem at all. If you saved your initial firmware, or key dump, you can use JungleFlasher to spoof your new firmware.

Download iXtreme 1.6 Firmware here.

Download all iXtreme 1.51 Firmware, click here.

JungleFlasher tutorial for all drives, click here.

If you’re looking for just JungleFlasher 0.1.51 , download it here.

JungleFlasher has been updated to 0.1.59, download it here.

You can also download the Stealth Firmware with Xbins, which can be found here.

When I hear any news on ABGX being updated, I’ll pass that around also. Even though the Stealth Game Tom Clancy H.A.W.X is playing now, it’s nice to verify that everything is Stealth verified.
