Burger King Whopper Bar

We’ll, Burger King is back at it again. Not only are they trying to save the Whopper, they’re starting a “BK Whopper Bar“, that features a Starbucks style kitchen, with counter tops that are circular and chrome, and most importantly, plasma televisions that are looping videos of the famous open flame.

Burger King is opening the first Whopper Bar in Orlando Florida, located in Universal Studios. The restaurants will be smaller than the average BK restaurant, being able to fit in food courts and casinos.

And customers will be treated to a smorgasbord of Whopper options. Varieties include the Angry Whopper, topped with spicy onions (and popular in England); the Texas Double Whopper, with bacon and jalapeƱos; and the Rodeo Whopper, featuring fried onion rings and barbecue sauce.

Circuit CityCircuit City has just dropped the prices again on the Plasma and LCD TV prices, up to 40% off now. Though I have not received an official email like I have in the past from Circuit City on the current liquidation prices, I did see the television commercial yesterday. Why the current stock is getting low, I called my local Circuit City, they had plenty 50″ Panasonic Plasmas, and a hand full of the 46″ Panasonic Plasmas left.

Might be worth stepping into your Circuit City, and see what kind of deals they’re left. And as always, checkout Amazon.com to make sure you’re getting a good deal.

Circuit CityCircuit City has dropped prices on TV’s again, we’ll, it’s only the LCD’s. Now all LCD at Circuit City are 30% off according to a television ad I saw on TV this morning. Plasma prices remain at 30% off, with no increase in price. Contact your local Circuit City to see what stock they have left, might be worth checking out the LCD Televisions, and see if there are any good bargains left to grab. As always, verify prices on Amazon.com before you make any prices at Circuit City.

Circuit City Slashing PricesSounds like Circuit City is slashing prices again in the liquidation sale, according to an email they just sent out. Personally, I’m only concerned with TV’s, and so far, these really are not bargain deals. Really, if you’re in the mood to purchase a LCD or Plasma TV, then your best bet, is to hop on Amazon.com, and look at the deals they have, and stay away from these liquidators. With just a month or so left in the liquidation sale, at some point, they’ll continue to drop prices on their LCD and Plasma televisions. In all reality, when they reach 50% off or so, that’s when you should make your move. For now, just wait it out folks.

Circuit CitySo I wake up this morning, and find one of those new “Slashed Prices” emails from Circuit City in my email. Okay, maybe the prices are actually starting to come down. We’ll, are they trying to take us for dumb or what. Last week, the cut prices on TV’s to 25% for Plasmas and 20% for LCD’s. Not bad I guess for the average Joe, slightly cheaper than Bestbuy on some products, while not really competing with online shops like Amazon, etc. But now they come out with this new email update, saying “Prices Slashed Again.” Same old Liquidation practices, trying to fool us into thinking the prices have dropped. They’re trying to market that the Plasma prices have been slashed, up to 25% off. Hello, they did that last week before the Super Bowl. Personally, I’m not buying anything from Circuit City in this Liquidation. Staying away.

Circuit City Prices Slashed Again?

Circuit CitySo now that the Super Bowl is over, and the rush to purchase those big screen LCD’s and Plasma’s is over, well, for the most part. When will Circuit City Liquidators drop the price. I know, I know, they have the 20% LCD and 25% Plasma discount, but if you all do your research, and you should, before you purchase, that is really no big discount to get excited over. I’ve heard rumors, that the discount will not increase above those percentages, but I have a funny feeling, that they will. Remember, all the stock has to be out by March. We just started February, so that gives them roughly a month to get it out. Hopefully, if consumers are smart, they’ll hold off, and as it comes to the deadline, they’ll have no other option to lower the price. We’ll, that’s my theory at least.

Thoughts on this?

Great American Group, one of the four liquidators of the Circuit City liquidation firms, said today in a statement that the firm will be providing “deeper discounts” on the items in the store. However, before you get all ancy in your pancy, you should knowCircuit City that they only plan to offer a 20% max discount on flat panel LCD’s and Plasmas televisions. As of now, they claim to have secured some $450 million of Circuit City’s $1.7 billion inventory. I have to say, that if they hold true to this statement, this will be a big disappointment not just for myself, but everyone else that was hoping to save more than 15% of MSRP. What a joke, seriously!

So if you take a standard LCD, let’s say the Sony BRAVIA 46″ 1080p 120hz (KDL-46Z4100/B), which is found at both Circuit City and Best Buy, and apply a 20% discount, these are the differences based on MSRP of $2,299.99.

Best Buy is offering it for $1,899.99

Circuit City with a 20% discount would put it at $1840.00

Just my opinion, but even at 20% discount, you’re still not getting that great of a deal. Considering Amazon, is offering it new, ranging from $1499 – $1749.

Update: Just called the local Circuit City in Boulder Colorado, and all LCD’s are now 20% and Plasmas are 25% off.

So how do you know when you’re getting a good deal at Circuit City? When the price is cheaper than the price listed at Amazon. Remember, shop before you buy, dont let this so called liquidation get the best of you.
