Microsoft is unveiling their new Web Application Installer. This application requires users to first install Microsoft’s Web Platform. The Web Platform, also known as (Web PI) will allow users to install Microsoft’s entire Web Platform, such as IIS, Visual Web Developer Express Edition, SQL Server 2008 Express and the .NET Framework. After users have successfully installed the Web Platform, they will then be allowed to install the Microsoft Web Application.
